meet blaire

Blaire’s love of painting was really born out of her eye for color; the inherent connection between color and emotion remains the primary inspiration for Blaire’s designs and is palpable in her affinity for pops of neon and her juxtaposition between saturated and unsaturated hues.  As both a painter and a writer, Blaire sees each brushstroke much like the stroke of a pen and views colors as she does words—both have the power to articulate a message and convey a state-of-mind. 

Blaire’s flair for creating art inspired her to use painting as a means of telling a story.  This passion was further fueled when she purchased her first home and turned her creative energy towards decorating its interior.  In an effort to fill her home with design elements that reflected her family’s vibe and appealed to her aesthetic palate, Blaire took to the canvas.  Admiring visitors inquired… and Blaire Scheier Art was born. 

A native New Yorker, Blaire has since relocated to Westport, Connecticut with her husband and toddlers in tow.  She loves working with clients to bring color into their homes and to create pieces that reflect a home’s particular panache.
